We regret to inform you of the sudden passing of Fr. Matt Twiggs, former Pastor of both St. Thomas the Apostle Parish (Oak Ridge) and St. John Vianney Parish (Stockholm). Fr. Matt was a dear friend to the Department for Persons with Disabilities and all of Catholic Charities.

Fr. Werhlen was a leader, visionary, and the founder of the Department for Persons with Disabilities. He will be missed, but his legacy will live on through the work of DPD.
On the week of July 18th, young adults from Catholic HEART WorkCamp came out to all three of our agencies: Straight and Narrow, the Department for Persons with Disabilities, and Catholic Family and Community Services to make a difference at our programs and in the lives of those in need.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the peaceful passing of Roy DeFranco Sr. Roy was a longtime friend, former development director, and beloved volunteer for DPD, Catholic Charities.
“Father Fitz” was a dear friend to Catholic Charities, especially the Department for Persons with Disabilities. Fr. Fitzpatrick helped create CARE, a pioneer program providing spiritual opportunities for adults with disabilities. Our Fitzpatrick House is named in his honor. He will be missed.
After a two-year hiatus, the Corpus Christi Food Drive will return to an in-person, Diocesan-wide endeavor. This event is essential in stocking our pantries during the critical summer months.
